This test measures the percent of people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who had at least one Hemoglobin A1C test in the past year. All diabetic patients must be must be followed regularly with a test for hemoglobin A1C. The test provides an accurate measure of the level of blood sugar over the previous two months and helps a doctor adjust the patient's treatment program appropriately. Fallon Clinic scored well above the national average for this HEDIS measure.
