Fallon Clinic Appoints Three New Trustees to its Board

WORCESTER, Mass., June  4, 2009 — Fallon Clinic, a large multi-specialty medical group practice in Central Massachusetts, announces the addition of three new members to its Board of Trustees:  Robert V. Antonucci, Ed.D; Diane L. Leclair, CPA, MBA; and Susan M. Mailman.

With more than 30 years of experience in leadership positions in the education and business industries, Dr. Robert Antonucci currently serves as the president of Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts.  Over the past 17 years he has held membership and served on boards of a number of organizations, including the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, the American Association for Higher Education and the Education Commission of the States.  In 1998, Dr. Antonucci became the CEO and founding president of Harcourt Higher Education: An Online College.  Dr. Antonucci’s contributions to online education led him to become the chairman of Massachusetts Education On-line in 1999, and he still serves on its Board of Directors.  In addition to authoring numerous articles, Dr. Antonucci participates and speaks at local, regional and national conferences and seminars on business and education issues. Previous to this, Dr. Antonucci served as the Massachusetts state commissioner of education.  Dr. Antonucci earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Fitchburg State College, and he received his doctorate decree in Educational Leadership at Boston University.

Diane Leclair, senior vice president for Worcester-based accounting firm Greenberg, Rosenblatt, Kull and Bitsoli, P.C, has worked for more than 30 years providing a wide range of tax, accounting and business services, often putting her financial skills to use in the healthcare field.  Leclair previously served as the treasurer of the Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc., where she was also a member of the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees.  Her current activities include working with the VNA Care Hospice, Inc. and VNA Care Network Foundation, Inc. where she is a member of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee.  Leclair is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Bentley College, and her master’s degree from Babson College.

Susan Mailman is the owner and president of Coghlin Electrical Contractors, Inc. and Coghlin Network Services, Inc. in Worcester.  She brings over 20 years of electrical, telecommunications and networking experience to the Fallon Clinic Board of Trustees. A leader in her field, Mailman serves as the Local Chapter President for the National Electrical Contractors Association.  She also contributes to the enrichment of the Worcester community in her roles as the vice president of the YWCA and a member of the United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Board of Directors.  Mailman received her master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University.

“Dr. Antonucci, Susan Mailman and Diane Leclair have a collective wealth of healthcare and community expertise to bring to the stewardship of our organization,” said Dr. Robert Yood, Chairman of the Fallon Clinic Board.  “We are pleased to have such experienced community leaders join our organization, and we look forward to benefiting from their guidance as we work together to advance the mission of Fallon Clinic.”
