WORCESTER, Mass., June 24, 2008 — Fallon Clinic Foundation, the charitable arm of Fallon Clinic, the largest multi-specialty group practice in central Massachusetts, has appointed Michael DiPierro as president of the Fallon Clinic Foundation Board of Trustees. “I am pleased that Mike DiPierro, a successful business and community leader, has expanded his volunteer role at Fallon Clinic Foundation by accepting the position of president,” said Dr. Jack Dutzar, president and CEO of Fallon Clinic. “I am confident that Mike will use his proven ability as a strategic thinker and impressive track record as a leading business consultant to refine the Foundation’s charitable mission and strengthen its community ties.”

DiPierro is currently a principal with Trident Consulting Group, a company he co-founded in 1998, and president of the Baystone Corporation, a consulting company he founded in 1988. On behalf of several organizations, he has acted as interim chief executive officer, negotiated union contracts, developed intricate debt restructuring with creditors, banks and equity interests, and worked closely with federal courts, state and local agencies. In addition, he is an active and vital board member for community organizations and educational institutions, ranging from the Boy Scouts of America to Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

“I am honored to continue and expand my work with the Fallon Clinic Foundation – an organization that is committed to improving the health and welfare of the Worcester community,” said DiPierro. “Over the past three years, I have seen firsthand the positive effects of the Foundation’s community service and charitable works.  As president, I will continue to make it my primary objective to advance the Foundation’s mission.”

Among his new responsibilities as president of Fallon Clinic Foundation, DiPierro will oversee the appointment of Foundation trustees through the newly formed nominating committee and will establish a new charitable grants and community development committee.

A resident of Shrewsbury, DiPierro received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His business career began in 1967 at the consumer products division of a major chemical company. In 1973, he started a very successful custom molding operation, which grew to 225 employees with 85 accounts in the Fortune 200 arena. DiPierro is the recipient of numerous awards and patents and continues to serve on many local boards.
